Thankful Thursday

>> Thursday, January 17, 2008

I'm so very thankful that we had our family Christmas celebration last weekend. We had a later Christmas because our daughter and her fiance were leading a team in Hong Kong in December. We even made prime rib that was amazing. Although we didn't time it quite right so we ate a bit sooner than what we had planned. Oh well! And what a huge blessing that all the kids pitched in with the dishes that seemed to be constant!

I'm so very thankful that my hubby and I saw first hand, answers to our prayers for our family. Before we opened our first gift, we had to share what God had done in our hearts this past year and what we want Him to do in our hearts this year. God showed us how much our children had grown and how they hunger for more of Him, how they are not settling for anything less than having more and more of God in their lives. And even how each of them see God moving them into ministry and giving them hearts for the lost and the hurting. Pass the Kleenex box baby!! There were lots and lots of tears. Happy tears and grateful tears for all that God has done!

I'm so thankful that our soon to be son-in-law had lots of time to spend with his new brothers and sisters and his new little niece and nephew. Chris is an only child. So he comes from a "quiet" home. It gets pretty wild and loud at our house. I'm glad we didn't scare him off! We had lots of fun.

Hey Mary,

Your Christmas gathering sounded so special.

I know you must be so PROUD of your children. I know this is direct reflection of you and many prayers too.

Yes, so much to be grateful for.

Blessings to you this TT.

That is so awesome that God is moving your entire family into ministry. How cool that your soon to be son-in-law wasn't scared off :)

I love your ten-reasons about thankful people - although I do have to disagree with #9 - I don't get enough sleep *grin*...

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Be blessed today and always.
