Thankful Thursday

>> Thursday, August 2, 2007

Praise God for Thursdays!

For the LORD God is a sun and shield
LORD will give grace and glory;
good thing will He withhold From those who walk uprightly.
Psalm 84:11
I'm so thankful that as we walk uprightly by His grace, that He withholds no good thing from us. My heart is overwhelmed by His amazing love.

I'm so thankful that I got to play and play and play with my granddaughter last Sat. We had so much fun. Wow, to be a grandparent!! There are no words to describe the wonder of it all!

I'm so thankful I had a great time with my mentor yesterday and safe travels too.

I'm so thankful that we are going on a family vacation soon. Everyone is able to come except possibly our son-in-law who is tied up with work at this point.

I'm so thankful for Lilies in my garden. They have a fragrance that stops me in my tracks. A cut lily in my home fills most of the first floor! I want my life to emanate the fragrance of Christ that will stop people in their tracks and cause them to be more hungry for God. How about you??

Fill your heart with more thankfulness at Iris's place.

Huge blessings abound in your day!

How cool that you have a mentor.
I have been praying for one for years.
Yes, I would love to so ooze the love of Jesus that when people are near--they know He is too.

Me too, Mary. I won't be a pleasing aroma to my Lord and the people around me. What a gorgeous Lily. You grow those in your garden? How awesome. I wish I had your green thumb - but I have two black ones *sigh*.
How wonderful that you had time with your granddaughter :). Awesome that you are able to take a family vacation with your children and grandchildren.

Thank you so much for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Be blessed today and always.

Beautiful post! I love the different colors of Lilies, unfortunately I am unable to smell their fragrance or any other. I could almost enjoy their scent just by reading your description.

Beautifully written, esp. this part: "I want my life to emanate the fragrance of Christ that will stop people in their tracks and cause them to be more hungry for God."

That lily is gorgeous! You actually grow them in your garden? Wow! Those are absolutely my favorite flowers, always have been, and I love the smell.
