Thankful Thursday

>> Wednesday, June 20, 2007

I love this day! I know I say that all the time, but it's true. No matter how my week goes, I feel like Thankful Thursdays really fuel my tank!

How lovely are thy dwelling places, O Lord of hosts!
My soul longed and even yearned for the courts
of the Lord;
My heart and my flesh sing for joy to the living God! Ps. 84:1-2
My heart and my flesh SING for joy today!

I'm thankful for God allowing me to come into His presence and dance with great joy before Him!

I'm thankful for the past weekend that our worship band played in the town square and changed the atmosphere of the city through the amazing worship.

I'm thankful that we have a big house. We had around 20 kids here after the concert, eating whatever they could, :) and many stayed over night to attend our church the next day.

I'm thankful that our whole family was home...4 grown kids, 2 spouses, 1 fiance, and 2 grandchildren! I love just watching the activity and thanking God for His marvelous grace that abounds in our lives.

I'm thankful for REST! After the flurry of activity in our lives the past month, God gives us rest...even if it comes in little cat-naps throughout the day.

I'm thankful for YOU! You are such a blessing to me.

Fill your heart with great joy at Iris's place!

Huge blessings on your day!

You got me singing that song based on Psalm 84! Good thing no one can hear me...;o0 I love the picture of the gifts waiting for us to open. I don't want to miss out on what God has for me either.

Dear Mary,
I loved your list. Thanks for sharing your wonderful blessings. I enjoy family time too and am so glad you had time with you whole family recently. They are so blessed to have all your love. I love music also ! Isn't it wonderful how much music can change an atmosphere. May the Lord bless you this week and always.

In his endless love,

What a joy to read your thankful post :)
Wow - you had 20 kids at your home. I don't think I would have survived it, but then again, I never hosted 20 young souls. I think it is neat.
Glad that you had time to spend with your entire family.

Thank you for sharing your grateful heart with us this week.

Be blessed today and always.

Thank you, Mary, for stopping by my place. I don't believe I've been here before but I see we have a few things in common. Your list is lovely and I can certainly relate to the need for rest after the bustle of family visits are over. Blessings!
