Thinking of moms.....

>> Wednesday, April 4, 2007

As I've begun this little blog recently, I've done a bit of searching around blogosphere, or blogopolous, or whatever it's called. I'm "meeting" some really, really nice people that are sharing their hearts and lives over cyber space for all the world to see.

My heart turns toward all the moms that talk about their kids, busy lives, priority challenges, dealing with snot and colds, etc, what to make for supper, keeping order- to some degree- in the house, maybe even working outside the home too, keeping their hearts right with their heavenly Father and passing the faith onto their children and keeping their sanity in the midst of it all. "Calgon take me away!" (remember that commercial...where the woman had all of life's pressures and challenges coming at her at once, and she jumps in the bathtub with the "Calgon" bath crystals, and then everything is fine and peaceful? Course they didn't say what to do when the kids would come knocking on the bathroom door while you are covered in bubbles!) Take a Deeeeeeep breath!

To you moms, I say this.....I pray for you. As I come upon your blogs where you are reaching out for some peace of mind, sharing a disaster that you can laugh about now, (although there were tears at the time), and usually with coffee in hand, (which is always a good thing - if you don't drink coffee, maybe you should consider starting!) I lift you up before the throne of grace and pray for strength and wisdom for you. You are raising up another generation to make a difference in this world. You are doing your best to pass the torch of faith to your children in the midst of great pressure all around. May I tell you that you are doing a fabulous job in keeping things together, even though you may not feel like it. This is a busy season for you. But, this season will change into another one that's different. And it too, will cause us to fall to our knees in seeking wisdom and peace.

It's an amazing thing, that when our lives seem like chaos all around, when we cry out to our heavenly daddy, He has all the grace in heaven that we need to make it through another day....and even have joy in our hearts in the midst of it all. It's in His Holy presence that we can find rest and peace and all the wisdom that we need for our responsibilities in life. CAN do all things through Christ who strengthens you!

I just wanted you to know that someone else cared and is praying for you. Blessings.

I know what you've said here is true - you are a woman who reaches the throne of God often. Thanks!

Also, I wanted to ask about the previous post...Was that what they planned at Joining Generations? I could've sworn that it was Graham Cooke talking but I think they said it was someone else.

Hadn't heard anything about Joining Gen. and Graham Cooke. What are you talking about girl?

Wowsers, one little typo changed the whole meaning there. It should say 'is that what they PLAYED at J.G.?' It was in Janelle's session Sat. morning. Sheesh.

Too funny! No, I remember they put it up on the screen, but it wasn't Graham Cooke. Guess we could find out, huh? Have a blessed Easter! Don't let the ladies eat too many Peeps! :)
